My New Obsession: Japanese Walking

As you know I got back into indoor walking. A couple of months ago, while scrolling through Instagram or TikTok I found out about Japanese Walking. Of course, I became interested in what Japanese walking was. So of course I looked it up on YouTube and found out KeikoFLex. KeikoFlex is a Japanese woman who when she moved from Japan to Canada gained substantial weight due to the portion sizes (I am assuming that Canada’s portion size and America’s size are the same) and indulging in fattening foods.

She start Japenese walking which is gentle enough that you can do every day. The exercise consisted of sets depending on the length of the workout it’s done in sets which usually consisted of 3 minutes of slow walking and fast walking. Sometimes the workout ends with a nice stretch and all I can say is it was love at first walk. With my knees being bothering me (well not lately) and sometimes being too tired for anything else this workout is perfect and she teaches you something different in every video whether it’s about Japanese culture or different things about Japanese walking. She has a walking workout that consists of 10 minutes and the longest video is 30 minutes.

I have total embrace myself in Japanese walking so much so that I don’t do any other type of workouts. This workout is gentle enough to do everyday and it makes it easier to reach my goal of 10,0000 steps. I learned that it is something that they easily do in Japan. I also notice that I start doing Japanese Walking at work when I’m walking around my job. I highly recommend this form of indoor walking in the next blog.
